U.S. has issued a travel advisory for 21 countries.
As of May 2025, the U.S. Department of State has issued a Level 4 “Do Not Travel” advisory for the following 21 countries, due to significant safety concerns such as terrorism, crime, kidnapping, armed conflict, health risks, the continuing serious risk of arrest, long-term detention, and the threat of wrongful detention of U.S. nationals.
